Bringing farm life and urban sophistication
Designed to reflect the client's dual life between the farm and the city, this modern farmhouse retreat seamlessly blends the warmth of rural living with the refined elegance of contemporary design. The concept was carefully developed to honor the client's deep connection to winery production and farm life while incorporating elements that resonate with the sophistication of urban living.
The foundation of the design lies in the use of natural materials—light wood paneling wraps the walls and ceiling, creating a warm, organic atmosphere reminiscent of a farmhouse, while clean architectural lines and modern furnishings bring in an urban sensibility. The angled ceiling with skylights allows natural light to shift throughout the day, reinforcing a sense of openness and connection to the surroundings.
The bedroom is a balanced composition of textures and contrasts, featuring a deep charcoal upholstered bed against the natural wood backdrop. Above, expressive black-and-white artwork introduces a contemporary artistic element, echoing the duality of rustic charm and modern aesthetics.
To accommodate the client's work in winery production, we integrated a functional yet stylish workspace, featuring a custom-built desk and dark floating shelves that create a strong contrast with the warm wooden tones. A classic lounge chair completes the setting, offering a space for both work and reflection—whether planning vineyard operations or handling business matters in the city.
The glass-enclosed bathroom, a nod to urban luxury, enhances the open-concept layout, while the interplay of wood, metal, glass, and textiles ensures a seamless dialogue between the farmhouse aesthetic and modern sophistication. This project is a true reflection of the client's lifestyle—where farm traditions and city refinement coexist effortlessly, creating a home that feels both grounded and contemporary.
